Fundraising Volunteer

Justice Without Borders (JWB) is inviting applications for Fundraising Volunteers. This position will focus on strengthening JWB’s fundraising activities, donor stewardship, and fundraising operations. The position is available starting immediately.

About Justice Without Borders

Justice Without Borders is a regional not-for-profit organisation that supports migrant workers who have been victims of labour exploitation or abuse to seek fair compensation, even after they return home. With offices in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore, we develop the knowledge, knowhow and networks needed to make access to justice a reality for migrant workers. We connect clients with pro bono lawyers and facilitate cross-border legal support to ensure access to justice for vulnerable migrant domestic workers, wherever they are.

Position Description

The Fundraising Volunteer will work with our team to build support for access to justice for migrant workers. The position primarily includes the following responsibilities:

  1. Strengthening existing donor relationships — Deepen our relationship with existing donors by helping create more personalized communication and engagement opportunities.
  2. Event management — Support the team in planning and executing fundraising events, including fundraisers, awareness campaigns and family-friendly events.
  3. Developing operations — Work with the Fundraising Lead to create and operationalise systems and processes that strengthen the fundraising department.
  4. Expanding donor pool — Assist the Fundraising Lead and Executive Director in researching potential fundraising opportunities and partners.

Terms of the Position

The position would begin as soon as possible, for a duration of at least 3 months, with the option of being full-time or part-time. We are looking for a minimum 10 hour/week commitment. If you can only join us part-time, please specify your availability in your application.


Candidates should meet the following criteria:


  • Previous experience working in the NGO or legal sectors, or in a related international organization.
  • Previous experience with sales/marketing/fundraising.
  • Experience in migrant worker issues or related fields is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s degree a plus.


  • High fluency in English, with strong writing, communications, and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in an intercultural environment.
  • Willingness to learn and to go beyond one’s own comfort zone.
  • Able to follow through on tasks and responsibilities independently.
  • Results-oriented, resilient and self-motivated. Can multi-task under time pressure.
  • Willing to take direction and work with the Fundraising Lead to implement regional fundraising objectives.


  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar platforms
