New Office in JWB Singapore and Welcoming our Summer Legal Fellows
Summer 2016 is underway, and we are very fortunate to have an expanded team in our new office. With us are Rachel Hines, our Pro Bono Officer from Ashurst LLP (more about Rachel and her new position is here) and a team of five Summer Legal Fellows from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Together, Rachel, Moses, Natasha, Xenia, Kimberly and Hui Xin will be tackling our newest block of test cases, while advancing our ongoing strategic legal research.
Our Summer Legal Fellows are currently studying law at NUS, with three being returning volunteers to JWB. In addition to our ongoing work, the Fellows have just completed updates to the Singapore Practitioner’s Manual, and are preparing for our 2nd annual Continuing Professional Development workshop at NUS.
A New Office
JWB Singapore moved into its first commercial office in May, representing the next step in its long-term plan to expand operations in the jurisdiction. The new office is situated on Kitchener Road, just a fifteen minute MRT ride from the Central Business District area and ten minutes from State Courts. This prime location makes us easily accessible for our clients and partners. Located on the 9th floor of City Square Mall, the office has a designated work room for the team and a meeting room to facilitate interviews and meetings with our stakeholders.
